Background and Experience
"Let's Keep Learning" is a no-profit and social utility (Onlus) association based in Vasto (Italy) specialized in care and assistance for disadvantaged people, in particularly children and young.
The Association was founded on the initiative of a group of parents, psychologists, pedagogists, experts in the field of training and education with the aim of
• Care and assistance of disadvantaged people or who shows social unrest, psychological problems and/or issues related to school learning, to early drop-out and integration in the school and in general in the society
• counselling and legal assistance for parents, teachers and care assistants
• raising consciousness about social and educational discomfort and psychological disease (Dyslexia, ADHD, Autism)
• career guidance and promotion of entrepreneurship for youngsters, especially those with social disadvantage, unemployed and NEETs.
The Association relies on the work of experts in the field of professional training, psychotherapy, psychology, education, counselling, career guidance and legal advice to offer to all its members whole support and advice.
The Association organizes conferences, training courses, seminars, round-tables, and also meetings with the formula of mutual-help, which provides for dialogue and discussion, in a "protected" environment, with people who share the same experiences.
In the context of the activities related to learning difficulties school, the Association offers its members a service of after-school for students with SEN (Special Educational Needs)
The Association participates in European projects in the field of training and research.
Over the years the association has created a dense network of partnerships with schools, training centers, youth centers, civil society, associations and organization active in the filed of education and training, public authorities, municipalities, cultural centers.

The LKL Association has been responsible of several projects within
• Local Professional Training Program for trainer and workers in the field of assistance of disabled children
• Local Initiative for NEETs
• Projects at local level for inclusive teaching in the pre-school and school education
• Projects at regional level about the prevention of ELS (Early Leaving School)
• Projects at local level about Dyslexia, ADHD and Autism in the school
LKL has experience in training courses in different topics, such as:
• Care and assistance of disable children
• Care and assistance of children 0-6 aged
• Dyslexia and ADHD: practical and effective methods for teachers, educationalists, childcare workers and parents
• Technological tools, use of ICT and creative teaching approach for effective development of key competences.
• Inclusive teaching, effective communication, social and family counselling for disadvantaged students and in order to prevent early school leaving and dropout
• Inclusive education and family counselling for students with Special Educational Needs (autism and Asperger syndrome)
• Montessori and Malaguzzi Educational Methodologies: a revolutionary method for childhood and youth
• Education of the entrepreneurship and the soft skills for NEETs for the Labour World
The Association participates European project of exchange of good practices and development of innovation on the following topics:
1. LKL is partner Erasmus+ KA2 Adult Education called “Game-based learning for adults” about the learning with the Gamification for NEETs and disadvantaged adult learners
2. LKL is partner Erasmus+ KA2 Youth project called “Gamification: ICT to play, play to learn” about interactive teaching for youngsters and NEETs specially through the Apps.
3. LKL is partner of the Erasmus+ KA2 School Education project titled “New Approach for New Lives” about the methodologies to integrate and include the migrant students in the schools
4. LKL is partner of the Erasmus+ KA2 School Education project called “Maths: real or fiction” about the effective teaching of Maths for children (also disabled) with Montessori methodology
5. LKL was the coordinator of Erasmus+ KA1 Youth project titled “INCLUSION” and aimed to teach to 28 youth workers the non-formal training methodologies to integrate in the civil society disadvantaged youngsters and migrants
6. LKL’ staff wrote the Erasmus+ KA2 School Education project (only for schools) titled “EMOTIONs - European MethOds and Tools for ImprOving New approach to emotions” approved by Italian NA in 2015
7. LKL was co-applicant of the CIVIL SOCIETY DIALOGUE BETWEEN THE EU & TURKEY Project titled "Make Room For Us, We Are Here" aimed to exchange of good practices for the placement in the labour world of the autistic youngsters with high functioning
8. LKL’ staff wrote the Erasmus+ KA2 School Education project (only for schools) called “ETEMAT – Effective Teaching of Maths” approved by Italian NA in 2014.
9. LKL was the coordinator of a LLP Leonardo da Vinci Programme n. 2012-1-IT1-LEO06-03451, preparatory visit in Sweden aimed to observation of the adult education system for migrants and women in difficulties
Professionals working in partnership LKL are used to dealing with renovation and training, especially for teachers of primary schools, on topics of interactive teaching specially through multimedia board.
Some members of the association are also teachers of kindergarten and primary school.
Over the years the association has created a dense network of partnerships with primary schools in the area and it could easily involve them in testing these guidelines and new protocols.
Skills and expertise of key persons
Ms Claudia Di Foglio
Expert in training processes, coordinating training activities and dissemination of the events of the Association, she is responsible for the preparation and implementation of European projects, especially in the context of the Lifelong Learning Programme, now Erasmus+; she has participated as writer and implementation manager in several Leonardo da Vinci (PLM and IVT) Projects.
Ms Giulia Benedetto
EU Projects consultant, trainer and researcher about the European systems of Education and Training, validation and certification systems of competences and pedagogical items; she writes and improves project proposals of mobility activities and strategic partnerships.
Ms Giammario Rachele
Therapist of neuro and psychomotor developmental age, psychologist, educator, primary school teacher and lecturer at the University of L'Aquila, Regional President of AIDAI (Italian Association of ADHD); she has participated in several Comenius and Grundvig (LLP) as responsible of didactical items; educationalist.
Mr Sergio Josè Santoro
Psychologist, trainer in psycho-educational items, primary school teacher, counsellor, life coach, expert in PNL and in Social Theatre; he has participated in various projects at local level on disabilities and learning difficulties and integration of people with socio-educational troubles.
Ms Fulvia Cetrullo
Pedagogist, founder and director of a Montessori School (3-6 aged and 6-11 aged), trainer accredited by IMI (International Montessori Institute), trainer at University of Barcelona in the Master of Montessori Pedagogy for children 0-6 aged; trainer in pedagogical issues like inclusion and integration in the school.
Ms Tatiana D’Ambrosio
Neuropsychiatric of children, psycotherapist of developmental age, medical sanitary responsible of rehabilitation centre for Autistic people “Il Cireneo”, responsible of EU project “Start Autismo”.
Mr Francesco del Viscio
EU Projects consultant, trainer and researcher, expert in communication, web and social media marketing, in LKL he deals with the tutoring and mentoring of the sending and incoming mobility in with the group of yougsters and youth workers within Erasmus+ projects.
The Steering Group of the association has developed over the years a long and proven experience in the context of research and training projects in particular, the members are in possession of the following skills and experiences
• Excellent ICT skills
• Ability to design specific projects and training courses and retraining realized also through internships or traineeships abroad
• Communication skills, team working and problem solving
• Technical organizational, relational and management aimed at promoting exchanges and mobility in the European and interaction with networks and organizations involved in the mobility
• Linguistic and intercultural skills that are essential for the inclusion and integration of the target group interested in European mobility for professional development and training
• Skills for planning internships and apprenticeships useful to young people, workers and professionals for their entry into the employment market or for their better marketability in it.
The experience and knowledge to the following activities relevant to the success of a strategic partnership or mobility projects are:
• organize specific course and job-shadowing experience
• organize meeting and workshop about project topic
• identify project’s aims and activities
• identify good practice for exchange with project partner
• create guidelines, website, power point presentation about topic of the project
• carry out surveys, questionnaires and analysis
• collect data and statistic information
• implement research and innovative educational tools (intellectual outputs)
• monitoring and evaluation project activities
• disseminate project results at local and regional level
