Associazione III Millennio

In 2000, the City of Balestrate relies Association in collaboration with the Association of AUSER Balestrate management for a year of a Youth Centre with the participation of many young people. Now, many of those young people are members of the moving activities more towards the youth problems and their families.

These young people have achieved in 2004 a project called "contamination", art workshops with target those children belonging to family homes in the area. The workshops attended by over 100 children, the project was revived under the name Contamination 012 in 2005 and 2007
Children assisted by contemporary artists and young people helped by Balestrate were set up in laboratories, have been engaged in all forms of artistic expression creating works put on display throughout the summer

Another important activity in the social sphere, which involved the association is the project Carnevalandia, the only carnival dedicated exclusively to children, so as to have had several editions sponsored by the Ministry of Youth and the Ministry of Equal Opportunities. Have been involved children who attend elementary and middle schools Balestrate in a project that began in October and ended in February of the following year, with the collaboration of teachers, lecturers and artists association, whose work was the final construction of a float imagined and created directly by children. Within the project has involved family homes and children who were housed in these facilities and other voluntary associations of the district who took care of children with disabilities, making them the protagonists of both the laboratories of the final days of performances

In the project CinqueSensi held a workshop for children who had the final product as a totem depicting carnival masks made entirely by middle school children of balestrate

In 2009-2010, on behalf of the City of Balestrate the Association has managed a project for senior citizens Balestrate on film, with seminars, conferences and festivals

From 2010 to still organized several activities for the elderly Balestrate, from small workshops Ancient Crafts, visits to the main cultural center of Sicily, the recipients were reported by charitable and social services in the area

Within the Association there is the "Ballo dei Pastori -Dance of the Shepherds-", folk group of national importance. Since 2012, the Association organizes the festival of folklore "Cu sona e cu abballa"
