Associazione Bios

BIOS Association is a no profit organization based in Messina and Palermo, established in 2006, which aim is to give a better answer to different requirements and social necessities of the territory, through the development of ideas and inclusive and innovative proposals that help social, cultural and economical development.
In these years, the Association allowed many young people to share ideas, knowledge, experience, instruments, networks, intervention and business opportunity, creating in this way new social relations, partnerships and mechanisms for inclusion and participation of young people on a local, national and international level.
Bios, through the cooperation with public bodies, university, education institutes, chambers of commerce, PMI and no profit organizations, is active in Italy and abroad in:
- European planning and finance facilities;
- Management of european fundings;
- Projects planning, management, fulfilment, monitoring, dissemination and accountability and events on the local and international level;
- Comunication and social marketing;
- Information, education and orientation;
The Bios Association’s team has a well-established experience in supporting the PMI and the business cooperation in the third sector, in different areas: communication and social marketing; informal training and education; entrepreneurship and employment; youth policies; cooperation and international mobility; culture and traditions; environment and territory; health, active citizenship; social inclusion and multi-ethnic integration; research and innovation; sharing and networking.

Today, the Bios Association is one of the most active private organization in Sicily:
- on January 2019 opened his second seat in Palermo;
- on August 2018 was recognised by National Agency for attraction of investment and business development (Invitalia) owned by the Ministry of Economic Affairs as an Accredited Body for the provision of consultancy services and funding assistance;
- since January 2018 manages and coordinates Centro Eurodesk Messina, the only one in Sicily and Calabria, dedicated to programs and initiatives promoted by community institutions for the young people, situated at the 1st floor of the ERSU administration building;
- on february 2017 was recognised by Google Italia as Certified Agency for the realisation of photographs and virtual routes with the Street View 360° technology;
- since september 2016 set up and coordinates the “Co.Vi. – Coworking Villafranca”, an innovative and only coworking present in Sicily (by type of services provided) aimed primarly at youth organizations and the third sector; with the Regional Body for the right to University Education of Messina;
- From 2012 to 2015 has been entrusted with the Vice Presidency of the “Consult of organizations that operate in the sector of social activities, in favor of the person, family and community” of Messina Municipality, with over 200 registered private social organizations.
- Furthermore, in February 2018, with a notarial act, Bios Association adapted his own Status in accordance with the Legislative Decree 3 july 2017 n.117, known as “Third sector code”, becoming, in fact, an open social enterprise based on a slim and flexible organisational model, built around a network of willing young people and skilled professionals, able to ensure a high level of interdisciplinarity, offering through European planning social innovation solutions in key sectors of the core business and in the main areas of public interest.

At local level there are several memorandums of understanding and agreements stipulated with various public and private bodies: in 2018 with the Orientation and Placement Center of the University of Messina and the Minorish Social Service Office of Messina; in 2017 with the Regional Authority for the right to University Study of Messina and with the University Sports Center of the University of Messina; in 2016 with the Municipalities of the Province of Messina, of Villafranca Tirrena and Malfa; from 2015 to 2017 with the Central Training Institute of the Juvenile Justice Department of Messina.
At national level, the Association promoted in 2017 the establishment of Y-CASI - Youth for Citizenship and Social Inclusion, a network of youth organizations present in the island regions (Sicily and Sardinia) and southern Italy (Calabria, Basilicata, Campania and Apulia), for the implementation of interventions of common interest for young people and the development of the southern territory.
At international level, Bios, thanks to a European project within the Erasmus + program, has launched the innovative "ItsTIME" web platform, which will allow transparency and recognition of skills (professional and cross-cutting) and qualifications, as well as learning, employability and work mobility (labor mobility), primarily in the field of social innovation. Other project partners are: the University of Messina and the National Association Oltre le Frontiere (Italy); the Langues & Compagnie Association of Marseille (France); 8 Italian Chambers of Commerce Abroad (Sofia, Athens, Belgrade, Frankfurt, Bratislava, Bucharest, Copenhagen and Helsinki).

-European projects design
We offer specialized consulting in European project planning, from the identification and study of EU calls and notices best suited to your project idea, up to the development, writing and presentation of the project to be financed
-Project Management
We support your project or our initiative management during the various stages of development: from planning, coordination, implementation and monitoring, to accountability, communication and dissemination
-Finance Services
We help to create or increase new companies, through the access to low-interest loans, to structural and non-repayable funds, such as: Invitalia, R & D tax credit, ERDF OP 2014/2020 and RDP 2014/2020
-Communication and Marketing
We realize social communication plans and integrated marketing strategies; we organize events and meetings in various areas of public interest; we manage press offices and social media for companies and public and private bodies
-Virtual Tour
We create virtual tours with 360 ° photos to insert offline on your websites or social pages and online on Google Business View, to increase the visitors’ number and to help companies grow their business
-Training
We organize in the various sectors of public interest: educational or different workshops, information and orientation meetings, masterclasses and 1st and 2nd level university masters, training activities and no-formal education
