AYPB 4th April is a non-government organization, a voluntary association of young people with interest in the field of psychology and the socio-psychological field. AYPB has a regional, national and international representation and cooperation. AYPB has two main and inter-connected missions. The first is realized through aiding the professional development and personal potential of people with interest in the psychological and socio-psychological fields a students, PHD students and young psychologists, young people and people in need. It is a more theoretical and focused on personal experiences. The other mission has a more practical focus, and is realized through the organization of specific activities and projects, which are supposed to put the skills and qualities in use of the before mentioned people and people in need.
AYPB organizes and manages regular activities of priority. One of the main activities is the organization of meetings with different focus and theme. An example for those: discussion meetings about the difficulties, possibilities and actual challenges in the psychological and socio-psychological fields. Those fields are current and important for students, PHD students and young specialists in the related fields. The discussions are focused on the study of different possibilities to intercept the targeted difficulties and to generate ideas for their successful implementation. AYPB organizes individual and regional meetings for planning of successful professional preparation and following fruitful realization on the labour market. This is implemented through the organization of professional trainings, themed seminars and round tables, conferences and congresses (on a national level with included international participation), personal experiences groups, workshops, and information presentations. The Association offers support in the organization and realization of youth festivals and initiatives on a regional level. It organizes volunteer vamps and regular initiatives supporting social development of children and young people in need. It helps to broaden the culture of maintaining optimal physical and mental health and quality of life in society through information campaigns, meetings with different topics and practical applications. As a result of those activities, the people with interest in psychological and socio-psychological work are offered opportunities to find practice and on-terrain case work. Even further, AYPB creates and takes part in different in terms of nationality networks, platforms and partnerships, whose mission, aims and activities it accept, aids and coordinates, if necessary. AYPD helps broaden and implement youth policies in the field of education, health, culture and sport. From its foundation in 1998 till the present day, AYPB 4th April has established itself as one of the main psychological organizations in Bulgaria with a wide capacity for work, which stems from its numerous members and wide interests, along with the practitioners in different field of psychology (working in the socio-psychological field, developmental psychology, counselling, career counselling and organizational development).
The main aim of the project is an innovative model for support of development (personal and professional) of young people with fewer opportunities.
Total number of 4 volunteers will participate for 10 months in an EVS program taking place in Bulgaria.
