Association of Young Lawyers

The Association of Young Lawyers (AYL) was established in 1997 as a non-profit association that brings together lawyers and law students with interests in the field of legal sciences and advocacy to improve the legislative environment.
AYL is a national partner of the World Jurist Association based in Washington, DC and a collective member of the Bulgarian Union of Jurists.
AYL has implemented more than 30 projects in the field of anti-corruption policy, direct citizen participation and advocacy, funded by the embassies of the United States, the Netherlands and Canada, PHARE, United Dutch Foundations, the Dutch MATRA KAP. AYL has organized more than 50 regional and national seminars, conferences and discussions. In 1999 AYL hosted a large international conference, jointly organized by the World Jurist Association under the auspices of the Constitutional Court, which involved senior judges, lawyers and law professors from 17 countries, including USA, Russia, Germany, Belgium, Italy, Nigeria and others. AYL issued numerous civil manuals and publications for administrative services, explaining the important legislative provisions and others.
The Association of Young Lawyers has many years of experience in project participation. The organization has many years of experience in conducting and reporting diverse projects over a range of international and national donors. AYL has the capacity to organize regional and national meetings, seminars, conferences and symposia, with over 50 such events being organized. AYL has implemented more than 30 projects in the field of anti-corruption policy, direct citizen participation and advocacy, funded by the embassies of the United States, the Netherlands and Canada, PHARE, United Dutch Foundations, the Dutch MATRA KAP.
In addition to the experience of the organization, its members have also gained individual experience in the field of youth activities, the European Union and the legal and political aspects of public participation. The members of the organization as well as the team selected for participating in this project proposal have many years of experience in the field of public affairs, youth policies, problems and the development of the European Union and human rights.
