Association for promotion and protection of Human rights "Sofija"

The Association for the Protection and Promotion of Human Rights “SOFIJA” is a Croatian non-governmental and non-profit organization and dedicated to promoting human rights, gender equality, and social justice. We aim to empower individuals through education and support, engage society in a dialogue with a focus on marginalized groups, including women, youth, and crisis-affected communities.

Association “SOFIJA”, is highly qualified in organizing lectures, courses, workshops, seminars, forums, on topics like prevention of violence, gender equality, reproductive rights and in combating any discrimination based on race, gender, and religion. "Sofija" has highly successful rate and experience in providing leadership and in supporting and developing social solutions, developing collaborative partnerships, analytical surveys, campaigning, writing policies and briefs, planning and implementing workshops.

"Sofija" actively participated and created initiatives focused on workshops in personal development, capacity-building, training for vulnerable groups such as unemployed and abused women, groups affected by natural catastrophes, crises (Covid), and young adults. One of our goals is to raise awareness about reproductive health, provide education on available services, and advocate for policies that support women's autonomy over their reproductive choices. "SOFIJA" is very active in educating and online campaigns for general population on the protection and promotion of human rights and in combating and protecting against any form of discrimination.

We are actively seeking partnerships with like-minded NGOs to collaborate on projects that promote human rights and gender equality. By working together, we can amplify our impact and create a more just and inclusive society.
