Associação Tempos Brilhantes (Brilliant Times Association) is a NGO/ Non-profit Organization which works in a great variety of areas. Associação Tempos Brilhantes (ATB) is a national organization, developing projectos in several Portuguese places in the north, centre and southern regions.ATB was founded to combat a hostile economic environment in a country where unemployment is accentuated day by day. Poverty and the difficulties of economic support of individuals and families are increasing and the Government is unable to correct social inequalities. The ATB aims the social and economic sustainability and cultural enrichment of the general population. The main moto is to enhance the life quality of the people who surround us, by developing educational activities, trainings; sports events, sociocultural and artistic actions. The empowerment of individuals through entrepreneurship projects is one of our main work methodologies. ATB has an interdisciplinary team, with teachers, psychologists, sports professionals, engineers, architects, musicians, etc. The activities are targeted to all kind of groups, especially youth and children (for schools, during class period and school interruptions, etc.); the activities addressed to adults are mostly trainings, elderly sports, among others. Therefore, he principal activities developed by ATB are: participations and organization of festivals, workshops, conferences, and other events; participations and organization of fairs and public events; collaborations with local partners in different activities (cultural, sports, pedagogical); promotion of programs and activities for school interruptions; development of educational programs, in Extra-curricular activities and in school activities; adults and teachers training; RH national meetings; promotion of volunteering and internships projects.
