Asociatia Tineri pentru Comunitate Bistrita

In the last years, our organisation has successfully implemented some local, national or
European projects, namely: 1. I love volunteering - a YOUTH EXCHANGE implemented between
May-September 2014 with the financial support of the European Commission through the Youth in
Action Programme. The aim of the project was to promote volunteering as a means of personal and
professional development among a number of 20 Romanian and English volunteers. The project won
a national recognition at "Gala Nationala a Societatii Civile Tinere din Romania" in November 2014.
2. "Romania -Polish youth exchange " (2014) and its follow-up "Romanian -Polish friendship" (2015) -
they were both youth exchanges implemented with financial support from Bistrita City Hall and in
partnership with organizations from Zielona Gora, twin city of Bistrita. These projects are part of one
of our priorities, namely to develop and consolidate the partnership relations in the youth field
between the European twin cities of Bistrita. Thus, "Romanian -Polish youth exchange", implemented
with the support of our partners Salony Foundation took place between May and November 2014
and included a youth exchange that was organised in Bistrita - the main activities included cultural
presentations, gastronomic seminars and 3D photo and video making seminars during which
participants discovered the host town and identified similarities with Zielona Gora. A year later, with
the support of our new partners, The European Foundation for Education and Culture, we managed
to implement "Romanian-Polish friendship", between April-November 2015, the main activity being
the young exchange that took place in Zielona Gora in September 2015 when 12 Romanian and
Polish participants discovered each other’s culture, local traditions and cuisine, national history,
language and lifestyle of both Romania and Poland. 3. "Consiliul Judetean al tinerilor prin dialog
structurat" (County Council of Youth through Structured Dialogue) - was an Erasmus plus project,
KA3 action that was implemented between August 2014 - March 2015. Having as a main partner the
Bistrita Nasaud County Council, we set up the first County Council of Youth from our county, made of
the 50 young people: students from each highschool and representatives of youth NGOs that were
trained in the field of structured dialogue and leaded to produce a County Youth Strategy with the
support of the professionals from different institutions. 4. "Tablou Uman (Human picture) was a
project implemented between May - December 2015 with the financial support of Bistrita-Nasaud
County Council. The main aim was to organise after school workshops in two rural schools from
Bistrita Nasaud county. Namely, with the support of our volunteers we carried out a theatre workshop
and a literature workshop that gathered as participants a number of 50 students who developed
important life skills such as interpersonal communication, socialization, tolerance among their peers
(we must mention here that more than half of the participants were part of vulnerable groups such as
Roma young people, students with parents that work abroad, students who are part of families with
many children and who face financial problems) and who developed their interest for literature and
theatre. 5. "Unknown beauties revealed" - was an Erasmus+ project, KA1, that was implemented
between 1st of July 2015 and 1st of January 2016. The project was implemented in partnership with
RV Projects from the UK, it gathered at Bistrita and 3 other rural locations a number of 16
participants and 3 team leaders and had the main aim to rise the awareness of youth about the
importance of preserving and promoting the beauties and utility of the rural areas in order to facilitate
tourist, economical and cultural development. The participants also developed digital skills by
creating final project products that aimed at promoting the rural areas discovered, namely a website,
a facebook page, a film, an e-book. 6. "Recycling for the community" - an ERASMUS+ project, KA1,
that was implemented between the 1st of August 2016 and 1st of January 2017. The project was
implemented in partnership with Profilirana Gimnazia Hristo Botev from Bulgaria and Green Civril
Youth Group from Turkey. The main aim of the project was to raise awareness among a group of 24
young people and 6 team leaders from 3 countries about the importance of protecting the
environment through 3 creative recycling workshops carried out in 3 rural schools from Bistrita
Nasaud county. The results of the project were an online shop, a facebook page, a park created for
the kids from Budacu de Jos village, several exhibitions of recycled products organised in schools
from partner countries.
