The Timișul de Centru Local Action Group Association is a non-governmental, non-profit organization, with
legal personality established at the end of 2014, which aims at the sustainable development of the communities involved, the promotion of the principles of democracy, the rule of law and equal opportunities, as well as the promotion of national partnerships and
international.
The association is located in Romania, in Timiș county, with headquarters in the town of Ghiroda, Strada Victoria, no. 48 and within it has a young, motivated and enthusiastic team, eager to implement innovative projects and attractive to the whole community.
Based on Government Decision No. 581 of 28.04.2022, the Central Timișul Local Action Group Association owns the status of public utility association. Also, starting in 2022, the Timișul Local Action Group Association de Centru accredited itself as a provider of social services, and then to license the community assistance service.
EXPERIENCE:
- Starting with the year 2020, the Central Timișul Local Action Group Association started the implementation of the DESA1 project- Educational, Social and Entrepreneurial Development , project financed by the Program Operational Human Capital (POCU), Idd Smys 130177.
Project results:
+ 64 children and 192 young people and adults
benefited from social and medical services
+ 64 children benefited from basic hygiene campaigns and anti-discrimination campaigns
+ 192 young people and adults benefited from professional training and entrepreneurship courses
- Under the title "Different, but together", the Center Timișul GAL Association together with the Fight, Smile and Live Association and the City Hall and the Local Council of the Municipality of Șag, organized Europe Day on May 9. Seven ensembles participated in the action popular youth dances from the territory of Europe and through this show, we aimed to bring closer various cultures, to interact with others, to build bridges of trust, respect and understanding between cultures.
- Supporting as a partner of the Association "Fight, Smile and Live" within the project "Your child needs love". Through this project Gal Timișul de Centru wanted to increase awareness of how children are affected by deprivation parents going to work abroad.
- Implementation during November 2021 of the project "A Romanian child arrived from abroad, a future adult in society" in partnership with the Fight, Smile and Live Association, the General Directorate of Social Assistance and Child Protection Timiș, Center Franco Roumain de Cooperation Economique et Culturelle, France Bordeaux, Society of Neurology and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry in Romania. The project is financed by the General Secretariat of the Government - Department for Romanians Everywhere.
"A Romanian child arrived from abroad, a future adult in society", is a project addressed to Romanian families who returned to the country mainly as a result of the socio-economic situation from the pandemic.
- In the year 2024 the Timișul de Centru Local Action Group Association, together with project partners the General Directorate of Social Assistance and Child Protection Timiș, Western University, Freidorf Local Action Group, Center for Bordeaux Economic and Cultural Cooperation, Association of Center for Strategies for the Development of Social Policies,
The National Federation of Local Action Groups from Romania, the Association Fight, Smile and Live Timiș, the Center for Timișoara Mental Health, Timișoara Pediatric Psychiatry Clinic launched the "ART OF BEING A PARENT" project. The aim of the project is to inform society, explicitly focused on informing parents and youth about development normal child. The project is carried out through voluntary work.
