Asociatia COLTEHTIM

Coltehtim Association is a non-governmental organization of a group of teachers with different specialties: sciences, communication, technology, and economics.
The Association was born in 2007 from the desire to offer pre - university teaching staff in Romania the possibility of collaboration, to develop the relationship between schools (Technical Colleges) and community (economic-social environment) through formal and non-formal education in vocational purpose.

The main activities of Coltehtim Association are:
- To create regional policy to sustain young people’s implication in decision making process and economic and social cohesion,
- To contribute to the fulfilment of Romanian youth aspiration to actively participate in the exchange of national and international values
- To identify various alternative ways of life, different forms of presentation of an individual in society and to understand of the necessity to live in a world we all share, a world of democratic values in which human relationships do not suffer from discrimination on race, sex, religion, social position, a world where the only acceptable discrimination is high competence.
- To meet the needs of marginalized individuals and groups, to promote their interests, to combat racial discrimination and xenophobia
- To promote European values
- To promote and encourage volunteering.
- To help young people get involved in public life.

Our team includes 12 teachers as members and 40 voluntary collaborators (teachers and students) with experience and competence in debate, leadership, career development, project design, and implementation, project management and evaluation.
The main activities are publishing, counselling, intercultural exchanges, competition contests, events and conferences, developing activities, promoting the practice of modern languages, promoting the European dimension in education and training.
