Asociaţia Tineretului Român Unit - ASTRU Cluj

In the context of a university centre, Cluj-Napoca, that gathers together about ten thousand of young people, the association tries to bring its contribution to the spiritual and intellectual formation of the young people through the promotion of Integral Education.

ASTRU Cluj members are young people (18-35 years) with a lot of energy and desire to be useful to the society and to the Church, young people that learn to take on them responsibilities and to belong to a team, young people who desire to know men and to make new friends.

Among our activities we promote formative meetings, lectures and debates on different themes of interest for the young people, social projects, etc. Our two main activities of the year are the meeting of Youth (October) which gathers around 500 young people and the meeting of Children (May-June) which gathers around 700 children.

The association wants to be an alternative, for what the young people consider “the leisure time", trying to develop the sensibility towards the cultural and artistic values.

ASTRU Cluj is a member of JECI-MIEC European Coordination, a body active at European level in the field of youth (EYNGO) and IMCS, a body active at International level in the field of youth (IYNGO) working close with the UN and UNESCO as well as an observer to the National Youth Council of Romania (CTR).
