Asociația Politeia

Politeia is an educational NGO funded in October 2014, with the belief in equality, aiming to improve education and reduce social disparities.
Began with a political philosophy course in English for Bucharest high schoolers, expanding to diverse educational programs. In 2016 shifted focus to a local rural community and engaged in community organizing efforts towards educational, remedial, and social support, in partnership with schools, local government, and the community.
We advocate for contributions according to abilities and support according to needs, addressing educational and social inequalities.
We conduct educational, social support and cultural projects in the local community, in Bucharest but we also have nationwide projects.
Our most recent project "Active students = future active citizens and respected workers" aimed to provide youth with basic knowledge on a key aspect of their life after graduation: their rights at work.
