Our organisation's core interest lies in EU funded projects, and it focuses on disadvantaged people and young entrepreneurs and professionals nationwide and internationally. AKK's main activities are based on three pillars: prevention, education, and guidance. The prevention pillar includes activities focused on inclusion, road safety, drug and alcohol prevention. The education pillar includes activities related to social entrepreneurship and the environment. The guidance pillar aims to improve media and digital literacy skills, as well as providing professional development and entrepreneurship opportunities.
We have extensive experience in youth development and social entrepreneurship and sustainability, and drug and alcohol prevention activities, many of which were implemented within the framework of international cooperation and the Erasmus+ programme. The association has successfully completed several international projects, including the Developing Opportunities for Volunteers to become social Entrepreneurs (DOVE) project (2016-3687). AKK was the consortium leader responsible for the overall management in two Erasmus+ projects: Youth Employment and Social entrepreneurship (YES), 617207-EPP-1- 2020-1-RO-EPPKA2-CBY-ACPALA (recently completed), and currently is in The European youth Strategy delivered through Advanced Technologies (Project 101089398 — eSAT).
AKK has also organised various youth exchanges and camps, such as the Csango-land Summer University and the Csango-land Economists Conference, which focused on environmental sustainability and eco-sustainable
development. The organisation's experience in road safety is relatively recent, starting in 2018, but we have quickly become an active partner in this field in the local community. We collaborate with schools, local authorities, and NGOs to organise road safety events and school campaigns in different cities. The association is a co-founding partner of the Road Safety House in Oradea,
Romania, using Virtual Reality Simulators in road safety youth training, a unique approach to engage young people. We also have been involved in organizing workshops and training for students and teachers in the field of media and digital literacy, recently closing a "train the trainer" project called #ENDFAKENEWS for school teachers and youth workers, about identifying and managing fake news and media manipulation.
eSAT's main objective is to deliver the EU Youth Strategy to young people in an engaging, exciting and understandable way, by developing a comic book.
