Asociación Ser Joven

Our experienced and multidisciplinary team of professionals: educators, youth workers and group leaders get together with a common aim, which is to highlight the value of non-formal education in free time activities, offering various services to youth:
-through our official School for Educators in Leisure Time Activities "Ser Joven", officially recognized by the Government of Cantabria (B.O.C. nº 17 de 26 de enero de 2000) we offer global training for youth workers in the area of education in leisure time activities.
-through Asociación Ser Joven we carry out projects in three basic areas:

TRAINING

In line with life long learning, we offer official training courses to obtain certificates of Auxiliar, Monitor/a and Director/a de Tiempo Libre, as well as different specific training courses targeted at youth leaders, educators, social workers and also at unemployed and those with difficult access to training opportunities.
We give advice on issues related to creation and management of non-profit organizations, youth associations and European programs for young people.

LEISURE TIME AND YOUTH INFORMATION AND ENTERTAINMENT

We organize different educative free time activities, such as summer camps, work camps, drug prevention activities, activities with youth in rural areas, activities raising awareness on environmental issues, alternative educative evening entertainment programs, etc ...
We also spread youth information, bringing closer to young people issues of their interest and giving advice and training to professionals dealing with youth information networks.

EUROPEAN MOBILITY PROJECTS

We have participated actively in European Commission's Youth in Action Programme especially European Voluntary Service.
We have also organized international training activities, Youth Initiatives and Youth Exchanges within the same programme.

In 2013-15 we also carried out a project in frame of leonardo Lifelong Learning Programme, sending spanish trainees abroad.

We wish to continue carrying out mobility projects in frame of ERASMUS +
