Asociación Nawat

Hi! Asociación Nawat is a non-profit organisation based in Fuenlabrada, a city in the south of Madrid (Spain).

Our main goal is supporting young people and community for the construction of a committed citizenship and a more solidarity society from a perspective of gender equality, interculturality and sustainability.

The values that guide our work are commitment, social transformation, responsibility, solidarity, respect, equality, diversity and sustainability.

Areas of intervention:

- GLOBAL CITIZENSHIP EDUCATION
Global Citizenship Education is transformative education for an informed, critical and committed citizenship with global challenges. At Nawat we believe in an education for global citizenship with a focus on gender equality, interculturality and environment protection.
We work through leisure and free time, training, awareness and support.

- EMPLOYABILITY
We support people in their active job search through training and job orientation. We offer group and individual support.

- CULTURE
At Nawat we believe in the importance of culture in all its expressions: music, painting, literature, photography, crafts, languages, traditions, etc.
We promote culture through activities, visits, excursions, exhibitions, events and cultural days.
