Asociación El Escargot del Séptimo Arte

The 'El Escargot Del Séptimo Arte' Association, based in Malagón, is a non-profit organization dedicated to the cinema in areas with limited cultural resources.
Our primary mission is to bring back this historical cultural activity to the town, to revive the magic of cinema and create a shared cultural experience for the community.

We try to engage people in various artistic and cultural projects, enriching their perspectives and contributing to the cultural development of the community in particular by organizing activities related to the seventh art:

- Film screenings at the Malagón cinema
- Organization of short film festivals
- Solidarity screenings with local associations
- Organization of workshops, meetings, seminars, conferences and debates on the seventh art.
- Programming of public and private cultural exhibitions
- Management of open-air summer cinema and drive-in cinema

In isolated areas like Malagón, our association plays a crucial role by serving as a foundation for individual projects, actively promoting culture, and providing seamless access to cinematic experiences under optimal conditions.

Our commitment extends to making culture inclusive, transcending obstacles like age, disability, skills, and socio-economic status. We confront challenges such as physical limitations, economic constraints, and sparse populations with the goal of ensuring that the magic of cinema is accessible to all members of the community.
