Asociacija "Savarankiskas gyvenimas" (Association "Independent living")

Association is very young but yet has clear goals and active, initiative and brave team. Mainly we work with policy reforms in order to improve quality of life and to decrease exclusion of people with disabilities.

Goals:
- To encourage society and especially youth to be more active in structured dialogues between young people and decision-makers;
- To promote equality, social inclusion and mixed ability youth work;
- To develop a better understanding of disability and create a disability-friendly concept of youth work;
- To improve accessibility for people with disabilities;
- To encourage development of Universal Design concept by having structured dialogues with decision-makers;
- To encourage development of Personal Assistant legal basis by having structured dialogues with decision-makers.

Our team consists of mixed ability people therefore we really know what and why we are doing this.
