CUS Torino, the sports centre of the University and the Polytechnic of Turin, promotes sports and cultural activities to university students and employees, and organizes every year many national and international sports events, such as the Half Marathon of Turin, the International Athletics Meeting City of Turin and the Rowing Regatta. CUS Torino was involved as partner in the organization of some of the most important sports events organized in the last years, such as the World Race Walking Cup (2002), the World University Cross Country Championship (2004), the World University Golf Championship (2006) the World University Wrestling Championship (2010) the Universiade Torino 2007, the 2011 National University Championship and the European Indoor Athletics Championship (2009). Among the many projects undertaken, disabled activity as well as solidarity and cooperation projects are of the utmost importance.
SPECIAL PROJECTS:
AGON PROJECT: The project supports young athletes - belonging to foreign and Italian universities - who want to enrol in the Polytechnic or the University of Turin while joining CUS Torino competitive teams.
• IUC (International University Challenge): The challenge is a 3–day sports and cultural event dedicated to international university students, that sees the participation of foreign students residing in Turin and delegations from European and non-European countries.
• PES (Ski Educational Project): A project conducted by the Piedmont Region which operates in many ski resorts. Many Piedmontese schools include the program (winter sports and cultural projects) in their learning offer.
• SCHOOL PROJECT: a project dedicated to elementary and middle schools. It provides sports activities as well as Summer Camps and Sabato Neve Skiing courses in the winter.
• PROJECT FOR THE DISABLED: CUS Torino project for the disabled makes available its instructors and facilities in order to involve disabled students in amateur and competitive activities.
• YEPPIES: the biggest students' association meeting ever. Its aim is to increase the number of foreign students who choose Turin for their university studies, by introducing the excellent quality of the university system and business world.
• SOLIDARITY AND COOPERATION PROJECTS:
- Hospital Cooperation projects with F.A.R.O. and Theodora ONLUS foundations
- Fundraising for projects in Niger
- International Cooperation Project “Tante mani per Santa Cruz” (Many hands for Santa Cruz - Cabo Verde)
- Italian- Brazilian Cooperation project aimed at hospital training and psychosocial rehabilitation
European Projects for which CUS Torino applies as Partner and/or Leader
SPORTS PROJECTS: organization of international sports events, exchange of good practices, youth exchanges, capacity building projects, training courses and athletes dual careers, special projects for children, women and disabled, development of a European sports and sports promotion strategy.
CUS Torino evaluates its partnership also for COOPERATION, SUSTAINABILITY, EFFICIENCY, LEARNING, HEALTH AND WELLNESS PROJECTS.
CUS TORINO was also the Project Leader of the “Action in the field of sport 2010“ call with the project “The promotion of Youth Sports Volunteering” and was partner in the ALCOTRA Programme, Objective: European Territorial Cooperation Italy-France, (2012, with the Ski Educational Project).
AGON can become a pilot project at European level capable of providing a prototype of Erasmus Sports Programme. Goal isto promote the dual career of athletes

CUS Torino is the official institution for the promotion of SPORTS among TURIN UNIVERSITY STUDENTS, and the most important Itaalian Sports Association.
