ArkiPirata

Ahoy!

We are a Danish NGO working with upcycling boats, recycled materials, culture art, and sustainable living based on and around the water.
With the fleet currently harboured in the South Funen Archipelago (southen islands of Denmark), we are restoring a wooden fishing boat, built in 1943, to act as a space for makers, project planners, artist and activists of all ages..
We are looking for partnerships in order to plan and execute different kinds of Erasmus + projects in the fields of boat restoration and salvaging, performance and art, sailing, upcycling, and creation of low-tech solutions for a sustainable off-shore living.
These projects could be addressed to youth, NEET, marginalised adults, and/or youth workers. Ultimately, we would like to form a community fleet of sailing boats, inviting those who feel inspired to join.

Past projects

Inclusion with boats

A series of workshops conduct on a boat about social inclusion through sailing, wood working, boat making, circus performances, music and visual arts.
