The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs also referred to as #GlobalGoals) are the framework of the ARISE Centre. Their implementation is necessary to improve the lives of people everywhere.
ARISE's focus is to provide community-based coaching as well as educational and career opportunities for disadvantaged people including immigrants, refugees, unemployed individuals, NEETs and people from lower socio-economic backgrounds and people with disabilities. Moreover, we aim to promote social inclusion and education of immigrants and refugees, encouraging their employment in STEM fields, which still represent a minority as well as educating them on civic integration, their rights and civic engagements.
ARISE Centre uses its expertise and network to work for peace, poverty eradication, empowerment of youth and women, justice and human rights.
Besides improvement at educational levels, advocating, culture and social norms are also imperative for an inclusive society of the future. Hence, ARISE’s members and volunteers stand for equal rights and full inclusion of all disadvantaged people of the society in all aspects of life.
There is a voluntary based structure and commitments as the setting where activities are carried out. The people in ARISE run activities driven by personal commitment, and they see the direct benefit for the people involved.
