Arcigay Palermo

Arcigay Palermo supports LGBTIQ+ people and the local community and against violence and discrimination, promoting LGBTIQ+ people empowerment and volunteering as tools for social inclusion and change.

More in details, since 2010, Arcigay Palermo has been providing the LGBTQI people and the local community territory with the following services: community building, counseling and psychological support, legal counseling, medical and health services (especially about STD, Sexually transmitted diseases), workshop against bullying in schools.
We lead a support service for LGBTQI+ migrants, refugees and asylum seeekers (the only one in South Italy), called “La Migration" and an anti-discrimination Center, "Protego".

The organization is member of Ilga Europe, Educare alle Differenze (a national network on gender and multicultural education, TGEU, Arcigay (a national network of LGBTI organization), and some other umbrella organization.
