The association offers training to adults and people with special needs. We consider it essential to give people more opportunities to increase self-confidence, discover new environments and increase their experience and expertise.
The association works in Caserta and Santa Maria Capua Vetere: these are cities where people with disabilities do not have many opportunities. Economic conditions are low and opportunities to have contact with other European countries are very few.
For our association, therefore, taking part in this project will be an opportunity to share experiences with other European partners, working together, sharing teaching methods and work practices, involving disabled and disadvantaged people and their parents, and creating opportunities to introduce those who are not accustomed to meet other countries.We take care to work with disabled people and their families. During the week we meet participants every day (for eight hours) and we do inside and outside activities. In the center we deal with strengthening the skills linguistic / expressive, graphic / pictorial, manuals, technological and socialization. For example, we laboratories of animated reading, recycling, computer, photography, theater, cooking, etc.. Outdoor activities are aimed to develop autonomy, ability to relationship, orienting and sport.
In these outdoor activities the participants go in the pool (in winter as in summer), walk in the mountains and natural parks, visit towns and places close to our city. We also organize evenings where we go to eat a pizza together ( educators, participants and their parents) or we organize a tours in which participants , for 2 or 3 nights, away from home. In this way we work on their autonomy and self-organization, both as individuals and as a group.
