Arci Liguria

Arci Liguria is an association network established in 1977 has 301 associations in the Liguria region , with almost 50,000 registered citizens. Arci Liguria is the regional organization of Arci Nazionale, the largest Italian cultural recreational association founded in 1957, which carries out its associative mission by operating through a network of local associations and club (circoli), regional and provincial committees for political coordination for adopt to the social and cultural growth of the territory.

Arci Liguria as regional level coordinates the political and organizational activities of Arci Savona, Imperia, Genoa, La Spezia and Val di Magra.

Arci Liguria is also in several regional and national networks, as Arci servizio civile Liguria, Forum del Terzo settore Liguria, Consiglio regionale Unipol, Commissione Volontariato Liguria, Commissione Società Mutuo Soccorso Regione Liguria, Commissione associazioni di promozione della Regione Liguria, Federazione Arci, Libera Liguria and SMS Mutua Ligure. Arci is also part of public private founding regional partnerships to enhance pulic policies. Internationally, the association adheres also to the Biennale dei Giovani Artisti del Mediterraneo, the Janua Forum, to Solidar , a European network for social justice and to Migreurope, a European network on migration.

Arci Liguria in its daily work has as its main objectives the consolidation and development of the Arci clubs(circoli) in its territory, awareness and campaigns for the defense and innovation of welfare systems, the dissemination of education and access to culture as well as youth protagonism, international solidarity and the protection of the rights of prisoners. Specifically the main focus of Arci are:

-The consolidation and development of the settlement of the clubs.
-The promotion of access to formal education also for adults, for knowledge and culture as a factor for individual and collective growth.
-Strengthening social and welfare policies by promoting mobilizations in their defense and innovation.
-The commitment forthe ecological reconversion of the current economic and social model is the dissemination of good practices within the circles of ecological and environmental sustainability.
-The contrast to all forms of racism and xenophobic action within Italian society.
-The defense of the civil and social rights of the entire population including inmates.
-The pursuit of the reception and protection of refugees and asylum seekers.

-The fight against mafia and organized crime in all forms through the management of confiscated assets and education to legality.

-The construction of associative opportunities and services aimed at the world of childhood and adolescence.

-The strengthening of the commitment in the cooperation and solidarity activity in different areas of the world.

-The defense and implementation of the youth protagonist supporting the mobilization for access to education, work and well-being.
-The development of relations with NGO in Europe and in the Mediterranean area.
