For some sports is a form of leisure for other means to improve their well-being. But for us the sport is the best recipe for life. We are a group of enthusiasts, committed and creative being active who put all their energy in order to do sports and improve Margherita di Savoia at the best. Aps Asd Margherita Sports e Vita (MSV) has been appointed to carry out one of the most important missions of any modern city; to create conditions for the development of the sports activities of the citizens of Margherita di Savoia and its surrounding territory. It's located in Southern Italy at 75 km from Bari, famous touristic town and capital Apulia region. Margherita di Savoia counts 12.500 inhabitants and during the spring/summer season is a tourist destination for family and kids for its long beaches and thermals centers; it is famous for being placed inside salt basins most largest in Europe, the same salt harvest is one of the main productive wealth of the territory exported all over the world; here the Nature is home! Every year, we implement various projects to enjoy this sport with thousands of young athletes from 5 to 18 years. We organize events that bring many fans of physical activity, especially in the growth of the cultures of youth basketball, Football, Volleyball and Sport outdoor in general. We organize thousands of free recreational activities, all of which can benefit everyone, regardless of age or ability. We are equipped with urban infrastructure outdoor/indoor, thus creating aesthetic and functional space for sports. We realize international projects that allow us to exchange experience with major European countries. We popularise sports in Margherita di Savoia, Italy and in the world. Consequently, we develop the desire to make our wonderful city famous for its natural beauties and modern thermal bathing facilities, a place where the beauty of the idea of the sports and tourism to operate on both the grand spaces, and right next to us in the urban space.

OBJECTIVES
Main Objective
- Promotion voluntary activity in sport, especially among the most inactive segment of the population, together with social inclusion, equal opportunities and awareness of the importance of physical activity for health through greater participation and equitable access to sports for all, with a special focus at the European Week of Sport(#EWOS), #BeActive European Program and the #HealtyLifeStyle4All initiative; to increase dissemination, share ownership and expand its reach to help design the HL4A initiative. MSV is the first Italian Sport Club recognised as HEPA European Member Network and the pillars of the HealthyLifestyle4All campaign through the pledge nominated from EU Commission DG EAC, that MSV sets itself are three:
a)awareness - increased awareness of healthy lifestyles in all generations
b)access - easier access to sports, physical activity and healthy diets. HL4A focuses in particular on inclusion and non-discrimination to reach disadvantaged groups.
c)holistic approach - HL4A is about collaborating in a holistic approach to food, health, wellness and sport.
- Fighting Doping, Match Fixing, violence and tackle racism under every form of discrimination and intolerance for guaranteeing access to free Sport at all;
- Guarantee the development of good governance and sport diplomacy so that local, regional and national policies can improve good principles of legality and improve the lifestyles of citizens all over the EU by sharing best practices;
- Promote traditional sports games of the past by enhancing the resources of the territory and the tourism aspects;
- Contribute to the preparation of analyses and studies for encourage Education In/through Sport on Skill Development and Soft Skills, mobility between the training of teachers and students through inter-school partnerships, probing activities and cooperation between expert trainers of Italian Basketball Federation and teachers Basketball school encouraging Dual Career between the Athletes and improvement both technical and pedagogical Skill development;
- Sport for Gender Equality is an item for the sports ecosystem to be part of a powerful multi-stakeholder coalition to make gender equality a lived reality in and through sport :
a)Promote women’s leadership and gender equality in governance models
b)Prevent and respond to gender-based violence
c)Undertake to close the gap in investment in women’s sport and promote equal economic opportunities for women and girls
d)Promote women’s equal participation and based free representation in media
e)Provide equal opportunities for girls in sports, physical activity and physical education

-The contribution to regional development and the widening of opportunities for the local community. This sector of activity includes all aspects of related growth, trans-regional collaboration, professional training and social cohesion;
-Introduction, planning and management of new proposals that are subsidised by the EU or by other European and international organisms;
- Realisation of programs of prevention and information that aims at the achievement of the welfare state, for the support and reconstruction of basic social institutions, the educational community, etc;
- Development of studies, provision of educational support for vulnerable social groups, educational and administrative staff, promotion of scientific knowledge sports, education and social research;
-Development of methodologies to create the well-being of people with Intellectual disabilities and functional recovery; raising awareness and tackling discrimination of disadvantaged groups in sport;
- Organization of seminars and debates in the field of school, Sport and Youth nutrition.

MSV aims to explore the concept of diversity seen as a wealth, observing how to treat different countries in the face of so much discussed topics such as discrimination, exclusion, marginalization of different groups (including migrants and refugees). The idea is to promote social inclusion by limiting intolerance. Will be an excellent opportunity to share our ideas, starting with what you see in your country, and comparing them with other participants. There will be opportunities to think about creating Europe-wide projects together.

Building Powerful Communities:
Collaboration with international partners to back the construction of powerful communities. We look at children, youth and adults in dealing with life filters more balanced, through all youth Sports and in the Sport outdoors in general the main socio-inclusive conditions in everyday life.

HealthyLifestyle4All map:
Helping people in the most disadvantaged areas of the EU to find out if they are at risk of developing type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular pathologies. In the quality of HEPA European Member, we are strongly committed to promote physical activity by addressing risk factors for noncommunicable diseases among youngsters, adults, and elderly people through formal and non-formal activities.

Mentoring Scheme:
We desire to run a mentoring program by: using National, International and world-class athletes to inspire and empower families to be fitter, healthier and happier; implementing pilot programme to contribute towards the establishment of a dual-career framework in participants organisations and countries fostering networking among mentors and student-athletes, including disabilities; the program will contribute to the goal of promoting and implementing activities promoting new ICT-based teaching methods in education, culture, sport, science and research on site and online.

Scientific Objectives:
We proposed the creation of a specialized department of excellence in trans-disciplinary, science systems-oriented research and training to understand, prevent and control childhood obesity. The Department will include epidemiological research, evaluation, research, intervention on the environment and politics, and science education systems as part of capacity-building.
Besides that we work with other innovative ideas - technologies in sport and well-being. We believe that technologies should improve their lives and help to implement our dreams.

ASD MARGHERITA SPORT E VITA research interests mainly comprise two main fields. The first is the origins and developments of the European Union's sports policies, which he has sought using a theoretic approach based on day-to-day models and multilevel governance. Mr. Spartaco GRIECO( Project Manager is interested in exploring the dynamics of defining EU policies (far unexplored to date) through the sport policy case. In this regard, it has already presented over 270 project proposals between EU programs with 68 of them funded in the last 6 years

A parallel interest in this area is the role played by sports organizations (especially the governing bodies) in defining EU sports policy adapting to cooperation with the European Commission.

The second research interest would be broadly defined within of Sport governance, in this context, Mr. Grieco is interested in discovering the nature of the relationship between governmental and non-governmental actors in the governance of sport, especially at the supranational level, with particular attention to the sports teams and the roles of the International Federations / EU Committee and Institutions .

Mr. Grieco, with strong basketball experience for forthy five years, thinks he has a strong motivation to work together with his ability and willingness to learn.

Mr. Grieco thinks to be equipped with excellent communication skills, always having established, in his previous work experience, positive and constructive relationships with the employees and stakeholders of the project. The skills acquired in European projects have enabled to mr. Grieco for to improve his raise a know-how importance in relationship with international partners, gaining greater security of projects cycle end-of-life choices working near deadlines.
