Apiromane is a nonprofit organization dedicated to spreading the principles of biodiversity, sustainability, and social inclusion by promoting urban beekeeping. We use beekeeping as a powerful tool to regenerate abandoned spaces, create social sharing opportunities, and bridge the gap between citizens, institutions, and the environment.
Our activities are rooted in strong local and international partnerships, including collaborations with WWF Italy, Greenpeace, and the Académie de France (Villa Medici). We specialize in:
Environmental Education: Installing educational apiaries (e.g., at WWF HQ and EUR district) and conducting workshops on urban ecology and climate justice.
Social Inclusion: Implementing social apiaries and training courses for unemployed, retirees, and migrants (in partnership with A.P.S. Cambalache and Mediterranean cultural associations).
Innovation & Advocacy: Promoting sustainable techniques like Top Bar hive construction with recycled materials and participating in the National Network of Urban Beekeepers.
With extensive experience in public festivals (FloraCult, Urban Nature) and international cooperation (Dardard association, Paris), Apiromane integrates culture, art, and ecology to build more resilient and inclusive cities.
