APICE - ASSOCIAZIONE PERL'INCONTRO DELLE CULTURE IN EUROPA

Apice, Associazione per l’Incontro delle Culture in Europa – Association for the Encounter of Cultures in Europe, has been working for 13 years to raise awareness on European citizenship and integration in Piedmont region. Our team is composed by young professionals and volunteers. Our activities address the whole population, with a special attention to youth involvement in civic participation.
Our objectives are:
- promoting youth exchanges to propel cutural exchange
- supporting EVS activities
- spreading pluralism, active citizenship and European integration through educational, training and pedagogic actions. Regular activities take place within schools. Main targets are: students as well as teachers.
- promoting a wide range of events to facilitate interaction between young people and European institutions. Recently CIVES project, carried out in cooperation with Europe Direct Turin, has been specifically devoted to familiarize young students with values of solidarity in EU.
- fostering a continuous action of information on the ongoing cultural debate within EU. Our association actively takes part and organizes public speeches, runs a blog and an up-to-date newsletter on European issues and constantly engages with local media.
