APEAI

The Association of Parents and Intercommunal Activities (APEAI) is a non-profit organization run by volunteers and a team of professionals, created in 1988, which has been serving children and families for 36 years. It is a project deeply rooted in rural areas, close to local municipalities and elected officials, spanning from early childhood to youth. This project is based on solidarity, connection, and autonomy. It aims to evolve educational practices, support parenting, and assist with schooling.

a) APEAI

APEAI is a popular education association born from local initiatives that contribute to development in rural areas.

Our objectives focus on the human being, their happiness, well-being, and emancipation. We believe that every individual must become a full-fledged citizen, engaged and critical, as an active participant in the development of the community in which they live.

This is why APEAI strives to promote the development of the individual from childhood, both in their personal and social dimensions, and seeks to unlock the potential within each person.

This goal encompasses both individual and collective dimensions:

• On an individual level, education first means guiding someone in the discovery of themselves, their image, and their potential. The educational act is about sparking curiosity, encouraging the desire to engage with others, and integrating into a group.

• On a collective level, it aims to stimulate solidarity and involvement in serving others. The activities offered focus on learning and personal growth. They are intercultural and aim to promote encounters, exchanges, and sharing. Each activity should support the educational project.
