Antalya Center of Support for EU Studies Association

Antalya Center of Support for EU Studies Association is a grassroot NGO located in Antalya, Turkey. Its main goal is to raise public awareness towards EU accession through all dimensions. In this regard, it carries out various seminars, trainings, workshops and projects.

Some of our projects & activities:
* “Press Academy Antalya”, July 2008-November 2009 / The European Union Civil Society Dialogue Grant Scheme: The project aimed to develop professional capacity of journalists in Antalya and strengthen dialogue between NGOs in Turkey and the Netherlands. Within the scope of the project managed by Antalya Association of Journalists, 138 journalists have received vocational trainin and have been certified by the Ministry of Education. Besides, a delegational visit to the Netherlands have been realised.Our association was the Project partner, we coordinated the international dimension of the project.

* "A different Approach to Municipal Services ; Strategic Look” June 2008-November 2009 / European Union Civil Society Dialogue Grant Scheme: The project aims to increase exchange of experience between municipal unions in Turkey and the EU and establish a network. Our association took part among the Advisory Board.

* Information Meeting for Aspendos Rotary Club entitled “An Overview to Turkey – EU Relations”

* Antalya Rotary Club Traning Series: “Overview of European Union- Turkey Relations”, “European Union-Turkey Financial Cooperation” and “Access to European Union and Other Funding Sources”.

* Meeting “Environmental Steps through the EU Membership: Today and Tomorrow of Environment Chapter on Negotiations” by the vice-president of EU Delegation to Turkey Tibor Varadi and Hungary Environmental Ombudsman Office President Dr. Gabor Baranyai.

* “The Expectations, anxieties and the things to do for Turkey as an EU Member in 2014” Seminar by the former ambassador and the founder of General Secretariat for EU Affairs Volkan Vural.

* “Pre- EU Parliament Elections Assessment” meeting by Brussels Representative of CHP - Ms Kader Sevinç.

* “Agriculture Negotiations in Candidacy Process, the Hungary Case” Seminars by the Deputy Chief Negotiator of Hungary and responsible for Common Agricultural Policy; Vajda Laszlo.
