Hello from Antalya,
Our school is an Upper Secondary school with 700 (15-18 years old students) which gives mostly academic education and after four years of education sends the students to the National and Private Universities. It sends most of its students to the faculties of medicine or engineering at university. We teach English and German at school. We have theatre, poetry, music and dance groups and they perform their products every year. We also have many tournaments, trips and social activities like football,badmington,swimming, voleyball, basketball to make the students relaxed after dealing with all that heavy academic school subjects.
We finished one Comenius project as a partner school between 2010-2012("European Youth Conference"with 4 countries:England,Finland,Italy,Austria) and we also finished our second Comenius project("Curiosity-Creativity-Competence with 8 countries (Austria,Italy,Finland,Greece,Poland,Lithuania ,Czech Republic and Hungary ) in June2015.
We also have four exchange partner schools in Germany(Schrenzer Schule Butzbach),Italy(Siena/Liceo Galilei Galileo Scientifico ), Switzerland( Rudolf Steıner Schule Kreuzlingen and Austria(Brg Wells). We 've been making the exchange visits to each other regularly since 2009.
Our school is located on the south coast of Turkey…near Mediterranean sea.Antalya is very touristic since there are a lot of ancient cities like Aspendos,Perge,Olympos etc.The visitors can have a chance to visit St.Nicholas church in Demre that is very near to the city and they can see many natural beauties with its lovely beaches, waterfalls to see around.Our school is 20 minutes drive from the airport.
This year we would like to join a new Erasmus + Project and also a students' exchange programme however we have some good student groups for youth exchange projects too.
