Anatolian Folklore Foundation

Our foundation was founded on 2nd of October , 1981 in Ankara in order to do researches on folk in culture that took a significant part in every stage of Turkish history throughout the mileniums. In order tol et our people bridge the gap between past and present by preserving their cultural values, tor ender services to the Republic of Turkey in the field of folk culture by making use of scientific studies, sciences of time and technology without falsifying the essence of original values we did all in our power.

Our foundation has achieved many of its objectives in various fields of Turkish folk culture by means of its own sources. The third volume of the magazine called “ Folklore of Anatolia” which was published to extend our activities to a greater reader and pass cultural values down the next generations has been completed and 4th volume is in the press.
Our foundation has organized conferences about several subject matters of Turkish folk culture and other areas such as environment, meals, sports, music, entrepreneurship, fashion, psychology, diversity matters and and so on. Also our members attended several seminars, semposiums, conferences and panels organized by other institutions.
