AMURTEL Greece is a women‑led NGO creating safe spaces for refugee and migrant mothers and babies from pregnancy through the child’s first two years of life. Based in central Athens and working in camps, shelters and community venues, AMURTEL provides midwifery care, antenatal and postnatal support, breastfeeding and infant nutrition counselling, and parenting groups. The organisation promotes sexual and reproductive health literacy, awareness of gender‑based violence and women’s rights, and offers peer‑to‑peer training so mothers can support others in their communities. By combining medical, educational and psychosocial support in all‑women environments, AMURTEL Greece helps highly vulnerable women recover from crisis, build community, and give their children the best possible start in life.
