AMICOS is an non profit association whose aim is to provide services and support people with intelectual disabilities, autism, paralysis, brain damage and their family. The objective is to provide to these people the opportunity to develop their Project life as full citizens in a fair society.
The main activities are:
- Early childhood intervention: for children between 0 and 6 years old.
- Physical therapy to improve their mobility.
- Formal education (elemental school) and profesional training.
- Employment services: career guidance counselling.
- Occupational therapy: we have a centre where we implement occupational training.
AMICOS have a multidisciplinary team: Educational psychologist, physical therapist, special education teacher, speech therapist, and psychologist. All of them have experience in the work with people with dissability and development of tools for improving their skills for get/keep a job and for enhance their inclusion in the community.
