Alternative Innovative Development - A.I.D Greece

A.I.D counts more than one hundred (100) individuals
as members, young and creative citizens, people who share values, ideas, thoughts, reflections and vision. The aim of the organization is to contribute to the creation of an equal and just society, by organizing innovative initiations and actions, for the creation of active and “institutive” citizens who can become themselves, carriers of social change. The actions of the organization are realized throughout Greece according to the needs and aims that have been set up, focusing on transfer of technology and innovation, supplying educative supporting services with a main target to develop new educational approaches through working in close cooperation with educational institutions, such as universities, schools, adult & vocational centers and educational oriented NGOs.
AID has already implemented a respectable number of national and EU projects, with a focus on entrepreneurship and business, vocational education, youth and adult education and school education. It has participated in a large number of ERASMUS+ activities, both as partner and leader. Hence, it carries the appropriate experience and know-how to successfully implement such projects. In terms of the projects that CIP has already materialized, a large number of studies and research as well as a variety of specially-designed workshops/conferences/meetings/innovative
tools in a number of fields have been successfully completed by the skillful staff of CIP. AIDs experts have been involved in more than 30 national and European projects as a Lead organization and partner funded under Horizon 2020, Erasmus+, COSME, REC, Justice, EYF and national projects. AIDs experts have years of experience in running and managing projects covering a wide range of actions including facilitating the public-private interaction, planning issues, capacity building and knowledge transfer for SMEs, companies, developing ICT and cloud technologies, public sector, developing regional and national tourism development plans and environment protection strategies, promoting best practises in business support,providing professional and structured support services stimulating the development of the local economy business sectors, entrepreneurship’s initiatives, cluster's initiatives, life-long learning, youth activities, immigrants’ integration, social entrepreneurship, empowering disabled people and cross-border cooperation. The highly-skilled team of the association has extensive and varied in-depth experience in the
preparation, implementation, monitoring, reporting and dissemination of results of projects, both as a leader and a partner organization. The organization is exploring new ways of using modern technology and modern teaching methods to improve the lifelong learning environment and make learning more accessible and more fun. What is more the company integrates the implications of educational neuroscience in classroom so as to improve the efficiency of learning and teaching. Moreover, AIDs tech department is preparing to implement and coordinate educational projects related to virtual and augmented reality; robotics; online school tutoring; production of digital educational resources; development of multiplatform educational games; management and optimization of educational platforms; education for the media and integration of ICT in classrooms to enhance the learning process.
The staff of AID consists of a combination of educators, psychologists, neuroscientists, graphic designers, artists, game designers and programmers. Combining technical expertise with pedagogic expertise is a strength that sets the company apart from most other companies in this field.
The association pursues the following objectives:
• Implementation of new social practices of integration and protection of vulnerable members of the
society;
• Operation in national and international programs related to, social networking, media and ICT field
in general etc.;
• Providing digital education for youth and adults;
• Supporting projects promoted by transnational partnerships and networks directly involving
citizens.
The aim of AID is to promote the empowerment of young people through the creation of real opportunities for educational and professional development and stimulate the youth entrepreneurship in an international environment using various models and opportunities such as
e-learning, in-class trainings, mentoring, vocational placements, customized working experiences, youth exchanges.
