Alekoslab is an italian Association born in 2007 with the purpose to spread practices and knowledges inspired to an ecological and nonviolent approach to reality. This approach look at reality in its network of relationships, interdependencies and complexity.
Through its activities the cooperative acts to support the promotion of social participation, as well as to promote autonomy and potentiality development of individuals, of groups and of local communities with the aim of build sustainable and inclusive communities (www.alekoslab.org, unfortunately, at the moment, only in Italian).
The association, born in Milan, reside now in Granara (www.granara.org), an eco-village located in Parma province in the heart of Apennines on the border of Emilia-Romagna and Tuscany regions, where Appropriate Technologies, Environmental Education, Theatre and the Arts, along with nonviolence and social awareness have been the fields of research, practice and exchange that are at the core of the idea of the Village since the beginning.
