The Alcohol Policy Youth Network is a network of youth organizations (31 from 17 countries) that works towards the prevention and reduction of alcohol-related harm. Our mission is to develop and support effective alcohol policy to assure healthy lifestyles and environments for young people. We do this through building capacity of youth organizations on: research on young people and alcohol; advocacy of alcohol policy; maintaining or changing attitudes and behaviours that would improve young people’s well-being.
APYN was officially established as an international NGO in 2011. Since then, several trainings and conferences (such as 1st, 2nd and 3rd European Alcohol Policy Youth Conference and 1st and 2nd Regional European Alcohol Policy Youth Conference) were carried out, as well as advocacy projects (Triangle 1.0 and 2.0, Towards Youth Manifesto) and capacity building projects (Let it hAPYN).
APYN is non-partisan and independent from any source of tobacco and alcohol industry funding. All our work is evidence based.
4th EAPYC will gather around 50 young people between the age of 18 and 30 to commonly plan the next stages of youth mobilization in the field of alcohol.
