Al-Ard for Agricultural Development

A Palestinian civil society organization engaged in strengthening and empowering the Palestinian farmer to acquire the capacity of accessing his/her natural resources and basic rights stipulated in the Charter of the United Nations and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, which are guaranteed by all International Laws.
Our organization’s main focus target groups are vulnerable farmers in poor and remote communities (including male/female small farmers and youth farmers).
At Al-Ard, we attach special importance to youth farming groups. Thanks to their high energy and enthusiastic approach, we believe that the youth are the most important working engine for change and movement of societies towards improving their economic and social conditions and ultimately eliminating poverty, as we believe that poverty is not inevitable.

Al-Ard adopts principles which basis side with the poor and vulnerable small farmers and producers, fully eliminating any religious, political, or tribal considerations, and makes every possible effort to attain gender equality and equal opportunities on the path to achieving the desired justice.
More so, dedicating large efforts to the influence of public policies that can affect the poor and marginalized communities, is an important engagement of Al-Ard. This goes equally into prioritizing, on the national and international arena, the issue of access to food security for all people, as we believe that sovereignty over resources, foremost of which is sovereignty over food, is the vital way to eliminating poverty and its root causes.
