Project Summary
Akyol Sports Club is a youth-oriented grassroots sports organization based in Muğla, Turkey. We are currently preparing an Erasmus+ Small Scale Partnership in Sport project focusing on children aged 6–12, aiming to promote physical literacy, social development, self-confidence and inclusive participation in sport.
The project is built on an innovative multi-sport training approach, integrating swimming, football, volleyball and general motor development activities, in order to support the holistic development of children.
Our club actively operates in swimming and football branches, and plans to officially include volleyball in the near future. Through this project, we aim to exchange good practices, develop modern training methodologies, strengthen coach education and implement pilot training programmes at international level.
Main Objectives
Improve children’s physical, social and emotional development through sport
Promote physical literacy and healthy lifestyle habits at early ages
Develop innovative, inclusive and child-centered training methodologies
Increase coaches’ educational capacity and professional skills
Strengthen international cooperation between grassroots sports clubs
Planned Activities
Transnational project meetings
International staff mobility & job shadowing
Educational workshops for coaches
Pilot training programmes for children
Local dissemination events and multiplier activities
Production of educational materials and methodology guidelines
Profile of Partner Organizations We Are Looking For
We are looking for European sports organizations, academies or clubs that:
Have experience in children’s sports training (6–14 age group)
Work in football, swimming, volleyball, physical literacy or multi-sport training
Are interested in innovative sports education methods and grassroots development
Have Erasmus+ experience (preferred but not mandatory)
Are motivated, reliable and ready for active contribution
Expected Partner Countries
We particularly welcome partners from:
Developing a European multi-sport education model to improve physical literacy, social skills and self-confidence of children aged 6–12.
