aktiF-Iz Youth Community

aktiF-İz Youth Community is an informal youth group founded in 2011. Since then, we implemented many - projects for young people with fewer opportunities - (orphans, young people with disabilities, and people with social disabilities), vulnerable groups, university students, and volunteers in the civil society. We aim to help youth who are lack of opportunities to improve themselves and bring positive change to the world. We organize youth projects, campaigns, and activities mostly through non-formal education methods in order to raise awareness and encourage different youth groups to involve in civil society. We are working with vulnerable groups as well as youth groups who may have a disadvantage in society. Sometimes those groups are young girls, recent graduates, or orphans. We are very keen on including disadvantaged groups into society and encourage them to take part in all phases of life. We cooperate with youth-led organizations and other relevant institutions working in the youth field. We are a member of the Turkish Youth Council. Moreover, we also represented our organization at the Youth Summit in Argentina in 2018 and explained what we are doing in Turkey as a youth organization to international partners. We use non-formal education methods in order to provide a safe and comfortable environment for volunteers and participants. Main topics that we are working on employment, entrepreneurship, social inclusion, human rights, hate speech, orphanaphobia, non-formal education, digital tools etc. Our target group, youth, refugees, orphans, disadvantaged groups.
Besides those projects, we organize Social Responsibility Projects Congress (SSPKONGRE) each year since 2014. We have different themes in congress such as people with disabilities, youth, disadvantaged groups, migrants and refugees, women, children digital tools, and so on. We also work with other associations where we acquire knowledge and increase the quality of social responsibility projects.
