Ajuntament d'Almussafes

The Department of Youth is part of the City Council of Almussafes. In this department we work for, by and with youth in order to integrate young people in every area of society.
Purposes:
1. to facilitate and shorten the time of acquisition of personal autonomy and social integration by young people by expanding their opportunities for training, employment and access to housing.
2. To improve the health and quality of life and access to culture.
3. To enable social participation of youth to ensure their greater role and responsibility for their own future, which is the whole society's.
4. To promote and consolidate among youths democratic values of freedom, equal opportunity, peaceful coexistence, tolerance and solidarity, as well as responsibility and personal effort and entrepreneurial spirit that generates and requires today's society.
Objectives:
1. promote the necessary conditions for young people to get faster and easier development, autonomy and personal emancipation.
2. Promoting social integration and participation of young people through their own organizations and groups, preventing and reducing the effect of situations of marginalization and inequality in social opportunities by offering action programs which encourage integration into social and cultural life of the municipality. Also, sensitize and educate youth in the values of non-discrimination, tolerance and democratic coexistence.
3. Improve health and life standards of youths performing preventive work that encourages their personal development.
