Youth Workers in every municipality and creates, administers and maintains an accessible youth database, as well as realizes the interaction of the database with other information bases, according to the legislation in power. AKR finances youth related projects implemented by non-governmental organization and municipalities. Since its creation, the National Youth Agency has strode towards the work diversification of the government and youth organizations or NGOs for youth.
Beyond their impact on youth policy-making, due to AKR’s capacities of identifying the needs and targeted requests of this institution, we are working towards creating solutions to these standing dilemmas.
Up until today this institution has implemented two calls for exterior application for project proposals in order to sponsor their ideas and creations.
During the first, its focus was placed on the fields of innovation and entrepreneurship, decision making and inclusivity, non-formal education and social inclusion. Throughout the first call these themes were conducted through the implementation of the project proposals that were chosen and financed by The National Youth Agency. 14 winning youth organizations/agencies for youth & 4 municipalities
During the second call for project propositions, AKR identified that the fields with most need of intervention were the following three:
1 The push for youth innovation and the necessary improvement for digital skills for young people in the 21-st century;
2 The support and counseling of carrier needs and skills that young people actively need to join the work force;
3 The support of active wellbeing: physical, social, cultural, and mental health for youth.
The projects which were aforementioned are being currently implemented throughout this whole calendar year from 24 separate youth organizations for youth and 5 municipalities. These activities and many more are being executed under the collaborative program with our partners : UNDP, RAYS Albania, UNICEF Albania, World Vision, RYCO, OSCE Albania & The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Tirana.
Some fellow projects with importance in these fields of innovation and participation from hundreds of young people are the following:
1 “Fillo Duke Koduar (Start Coding)” - a non-formal training program with a focus on coding and entrepreneurship;
