Afyonkarahisar Dyslexia Association-ADDER

ADDER’s aims are raising awareness in the society about dyslexia-(in general specific learning disability (SLD)), providing social, psychological, technical, academic and legal support to individuals with special learning difficulties, their families, educators and personnel working in the relevant field. Our association has 17 members - special education professionals, human relationship specialist in the field of special education, parents and other volunteer people- by now. All members have personal and professional experiences about dyslexia, education and guiding. ADDER’s main activities are:
-Organize activities for children & youngsters who have SLD (dyslexia, dyscalculia and dispraxia) and their families,
-Organize meetings with pre-, primary, secondary and high school teachers to create awareness about SLD,
– Providing reliable and true information to the public by social media accounts and local press,
- Meetings with local authorities to form public opinion for the solutions of the problems in the field of SLD.
