Afrika Vakfı/Africa Foundation

Africa Foundation, established in Ankara in 2015, is a research and training institution working on developing knowledge, understanding and policies on Africa. The foundation's works are categorised into three primary areas. Firstly, organising education programs and seminars with cross-disciplinary perspectives for interested students and participants. The foundation has run the courses since 2018 with a well-developed curriculum. The second tier of work is to conduct research about Africa. Having a research component in the foundation makes the organization dynamic and up-to-date with an understanding based on hands-on experience. The foundation conducted research projects so far, including culture and development. Lastly, Africa foundation publishes reports, analyses as well as books about Africa both in-house production and translation. Africa Foundation also extends its work by establishing its partnerships with non-governmental organizations, research institutions and universities both from Africa and around the world.
