ADIS Meridianos

The association Meridianos is a NGO which develops, through programmes and services of educative, labour, and social formation, by employment arrangements and insertion, activities for young people; that means, for groups in risk of exclusion, for young people in social conflicts as well as for young people in general
The age of the young people we work with goes from 10 to 18 (+21)
MERIDIANOS is a non-profit organisation founded by psychologies, pedagogues and social educators in the 80ies. It works on the development of programmes and services, of preventive as well as interventional nature, for young people, on national level.

ADIS MERIDIANOS gathers professionals who create, caused by a deep concern for the social values, for young people and their future, programmes, services and activities of direct intervention, of preventive and reformative nature, as well as activities of investigation and professional development of the experts of our different working areas.
Some services developed:
- Street educator programmes in districts of different towns.
- Education programmes for children and pupils of preschool and primary school.
- Socializing programmes for minor offenders in concept of open prison for the Ministry of Justice.
- Programmes of labour formation and insertion for the Department of Employment.
- Innovative programmes of internment of minor offenders to prepare them for their release.
- Internment programmes for minor offenders in reformation centres.
- Programmes of formation and professional development for the professionals of our different working areas.
- Activities, conferences, forum, symposiums, expositions, investigations, publications, doctoral thesis, collaborations and scholarships.
