Action For Women

Action for Women is a survivor-led, all-female NGO in Greece supporting refugee and migrant women, including trans women, affected by gender-based violence. We provide safe spaces, psychosocial support, legal aid, healthcare navigation, language learning, skills development, and holistic integration services. Our flagship programs, the Athena Centre on Chios Island and the Pomegranate Project in Athens, combine protection, empowerment, and dignity-based support, enabling women to rebuild their lives, regain independence, and integrate into society. We also run LEILA, a discreet hotline offering trauma-informed guidance for survivors.
