Acting Now

Acting Now is a social theatre organization that use theatre as a tool to empower those who are at risk of social exclusion.We promote social change and inclusion for people who wish it and organise theatre performances to promote self-awareness and to develop social cohesion.
We work with issues such as violence, drug use, trust, grief, domestic violence, discrimination,
injustice, racism, bullying and other situations that place an individual at risk of social exclusion

Acting Now runs theatre workshops that develop social inclusion, emotional intelligence and self-awareness, incorporating Theatre of the Oppressed and Humanistic Physiology techniques.Also we performances that show situations from many points of view.
We work with people in Cambridgeshire who are at risk of social exclusion. We work with adults with mental health issues, the homeless, immigrants, teenagers, adults with learning difficulties, women and children. Also, we collaborate with charities, community organisations and local authorities, providing a new way of dealing with social issues through social theatre.
