Acli - Sede provinciale di Bergamo

Acli Bergamo, forming part of Acli Italia, is an association for the social promotion.
Its main aims are:
- Delivery of social services for workers and disadvantaged people;
- Promotion of Citizenship education;
- Promotion of Interreligious dialogue.
The association counts to date 880.031 members and provides services for 3 millions people throughout Italy.

In particular, Acli Bergamo proposes activities in the following areas: work, cultural promotion, education purpose, intercultural exchange and sport.

Acli Bergamo offers an up-to-date system of work, called co-working, in which every participant share the same place, ideas and knowledge in order to improve singular or plural work.

In association with Enaip, the accredited employment service agencies of Acli, and cultural circles spread across Bergamo, Acli puts its expertise, services, knowledge and professionalism at the service of job seekers to define the plan of job searching, to find out professional opportunities and to write down their cv.
Moreover, Acli organises the “15 giorni del lavoro” between April and May, a 15-day long manifestation in which every agency involved share their work experiences.

Acli follows its cultural purpose with a 4-month cultural exhibition "Many faiths under the same sky" (Molte fedi sotto lo stesso cielo) in which it is possible to know and analyze religious, social and cultural aspects of nowadays society through meetings, shows, readings, debates and training meetings in high school.

One of the most important education itinerary is around the citizenship theme with:
- “We care” project ,politics courses for young people;
- “Non solo Rimini”, peace education programme that involved young volunteers in alternative vacations, in Italy and Europe as well, which aim is to sensitize people toward respecting justice and legal values through the respect of nature and intercultural differences;
- Acquisition of knowledge about italian constitution;
- Training opportunites on legality and associations related like "Libera.Associations, names and numbers against mafias", a network of more than 1,200 associations, groups and schools, committed to build(ing) up organizational synergies between the political and cultural local realities capable of promoting a culture of lawfulness.

Acli Bergamo also organises a five meeting course on legality, in which young people and professors structure the debate around topics like mafia and its network.
The aim of our training opportunity is to know how every single person can carry out the struggle against mafia in their daily life.

National Civil Service is another opportunity given by Acli: young selected volunteers develop an educational and social projects for one year and in the same time contributing in work, young and social Acli’s aims.
