ACCOORD

Founded in 1985 in Nantes, Accoord is an association focused on popular education, committed to bringing together French and international youth through intercultural exchanges. In collaboration with local partners in France and abroad, we organise educational and enriching trips each year, offering around 2,000 young people from Nantes the opportunity to experience unique journeys of discovery.

Our Core Values

As an association dedicated to popular education, we uphold five fundamental values: Humanism, Equality, Freedom, Solidarity, and Secularism. Educating for openness to the world is a crucial challenge in our multicultural society. Engaging with this concept promotes understanding and tolerance among individuals. It also allows for the sharing of one's own culture and openness to others. Our international approach is particularly rooted in Education for Citizenship and International Solidarity.

Our European Projects

Accoord is accredited by the Erasmus+ programme until 2027. In 2023, we launched seven European projects in partnership with Erasmus+, bringing together young people from different countries around diverse themes. A concrete example: a sports exchange programme involving young participants aged 13 to 16 from Germany, Wales, Georgia, and France. International Exchanges in 2024

In 2024, we organised eight international exchanges with partners in Morocco, Ireland, Georgia, Italy, Crete, and Croatia, focusing on themes such as sports and European culture. We also hosted two youth exchanges in France at our outdoor base in Port Barbe. These exchanges emphasised accessibility to sports, with three participating countries per programme.

Goals for 2025

Looking ahead to 2025, Accoord aims to strengthen its impact on a European and international scale by continuing its initiatives with Erasmus+. We plan to organise as many youth exchanges, both in France and abroad, as we did in previous years.
