Academia de Aventura "Pamantul Viu"

The "Living Earth Adventure Academy" is a nonprofit organization and was founded as a result of the founding members’ desire to support the formation of a civic, cross-cultural and sporting awareness among youngsters and not only, through various activities which include tourist and/or cultural events, non-formal and informal educational activities in schools and educational and/or cultural centers, promotion of tourism and ecotourism in order to protect the environment and preserve ecosystems. Also, the organization aims to contribute to the development and promotion of tourism, as well as of cultural and spiritual values of Romania and Europe. Our organisation’s size is S1, P 85, 6, Educational support activities, type of organisation: NFP- Non-profit organisation, NGO, voluntary body.
Amongst the organisations goals, there can be counted:
- the contribution to the development and practice of cultural and ecological tourism
- the promotion and preservation of the environment
- the practice of various sports and outdoor activities
- the involvement of young people and other target groups in tourism and cultural activities/events, outdoor activities and environmental protection activities;
- promotion of non-formal and informal education as an alternative to youngsters’ instruction, in order to motivate them to learn
- exchange of good practices in the field of tourism and cultural heritage, as well as in non-formal and informal educational practices with similar organisations across Europe
In what concerns the organisation's activities, we had several projects, consisting in trekking, climbing and outdoor activities in Mont Blanc, Monte Rosa, Dolomites, Marmolada, Austrian and Slovenian Alps, etc, in which took part our organisation's members, as well youngsters, students and professionals in sports and outdoor activities. At local and regional level we organised several events(exhibitions, theatre, movie and poetry events, cultural dialogue revues, traditional wood carving activities), in order to promote cultural heritage and tourism and to raise young people awareness towards these aspects. One of our most major projects was a 3000 Km march, on foot, from our city to the border of Spain, crossing from Romania through Hungary, Slovenia, Italy and France. This march was held from 1st of March to the 10th of June, 2013, by two members of our organisation. We also organise and collaborate with the local community and the Local Council in different outdoor activities, which involve young people and other target groups. We also have collaborations with other NGO-s with similar profile in various projects targeting culture, tourism, outdoor activity, environment protection, etc.
