A.S.D. ALCYONE CALCIO

ASD Alcyone is a grassroots sport association based in Pescara, on the Adriatic coast of Italy (Abruzzo region). Founded in [year], we work with more than 200 children and young people every season and believe that sport is a right for every child, not a privilege.

Our approach is “social football” (calcio sociale): we use sport as an educational tool to promote inclusion, respect, teamwork and active citizenship. Many of the young people we work with come from families facing economic and social difficulties, so we keep our activities accessible and pay special attention to children who are at risk of being excluded from organised sport.

Our main activities include:

youth football training and grassroots competitions for boys and girls;
a free sport programme linked to after-school support, so that children receive both educational help and the chance to play;
cooperation with local schools, parishes and social services to reach the most vulnerable children [keep only the partners you actually work with];
training and development for our coaches and volunteers.

Our team includes [number] coaches and volunteers, some with FIGC/UEFA coaching qualifications [check].

We are now building our European dimension. We are looking for partners (sport clubs, NGOs and social organisations) to develop Erasmus+ Sport and Youth projects on social inclusion through multi-sport activities for children and young people, exchanges between teams, international inclusive tournaments, and training for coaches and youth workers.

We are motivated, reliable and ready to coordinate projects and host partners in Pescara.
