A.R.T. Fusion Association

A.R.T. Fusion’s activity is focused on two dimensions: Social responsibility (issues related to human rights, discrimination, social inclusion and gender equality and Global responsibility (global education, climate change and environmental sustainability). All our work is based on non-formal education methodologies that empower individuals with knowledge and skills to be informed global citizens. The methodology that we use includes participative arts methods, living library, street campaigning and global education. Through the years, we have developed educational tools on, amongst others, Forum and Image Theatre (http://toolbox.salto-youth.net/1503), Newspaper Theatre (http://toolbox.salto-youth.net/3045), Legislative Theatre (http://toolbox.salto-youth.net/3044) – all following the implementation of the methods on the ground in a variety of countries and local contexts. We work both nationally and internationally and we target change both at individual level (through awareness raising and capacity building) and institutional level (through campaigning and advocacy). We have experience coordinating long term multi-partners projects under a variety of funding programmes (Erasmus+ KA1, KA2 and KA3, CERV, Active Citizens Fund etc).
At national level, our efforts extend to diverse vulnerable groups, including Roma people, migrants and refugees, LGBTQ+ communities, people with physical and intellectual disabilities, prisoners and ex-prisoners, youth from the foster care system, and marginalized youth, as well as the general population and professionals working in different sectors with diverse groups. The methods we use aim to empower oppressed groups to fight for their rights, as well to create awareness among other members of the communities about various social and global issues. In order to maximise our impact, we collaborate with other NGOs, cultural and educational institutions, local authorities and a variety of experts.

Since 2021, we have also been organising the Bucharest Feminist Film Festival, an annual international event at the intersection of art and education, through which we aim to keep issues related to gender equality at the forefront of public discourse.
